BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT

Class of ’23, ’24, ’25 – Parent Volunteers Needed for Senior Grad Party (SGP)!

We are looking for volunteers to help out at Senior Grad Party at Party Pals the night of Graduation on Tues. 6/14/22.  We need more parents of underclass students to lend a hand, and get a better understanding for what SGP is all about.   It takes a lot of coordination all year to make Senior Grad Party (SGP) happen.  The PTSA SGP Committee starts planning and fundraising in the fall to provide graduating seniors a safe environment the night of graduation.  This event started because many years ago high school students were going out on the night of graduation and getting into fatal accidents as a result of unsupervised partying. Please help pay it forward and keep our seniors safe!

Please Signup to Volunteer or donate a dessert for the night of the event.  Desserts can be dropped off in the UCHS Main Office on Mon. 6/13 or Tues. 6/14.22

Sr Grad Party Fundraiser (March 19th)

Sat. March 19th – Last Saturday Shoe Drive! – Please bring your new and gently worn shoes to our Drive-thru, Drop off event from 9am-3pm at UCHS.  We’ll be located at the school bus/pick up area. We also have a bin located in UCHS front office until 3/25/22.   UCHS PTSA will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Those dollars will benefit our SGP.  All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Org network to help create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunities are limited.  Questions, please contact Audrey Patterson, SGP Fundraising Chair at uchssgp@gmail.com

Shoes Collected on March 5th. Do you have slightly worn shoes for donation? Then come by on March 19th at UCHS and drop them off between 9am and 3pm. Or at the front office until March 25th!

Sr Grad Party Fundraiser (Saturday March 5th!)

UCHS Senior Grad Party Committee is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser on Saturday, March 5th at University City High School from 9a-3p to raise funds for our end-of-year party. UCHS PTSA will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Those dollars will benefit our senior grad party.

Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes at our drive by, drop off event in front of UCHS. (6949 Genesee Avenue). We’ll be located at the school bus/pick up area.

You can also drop off shoes any day or time at either of these UC home locations:

5054 Via Papel or 4535 Benhurst Avenue

There will be a bin in the driveway or leave them by the garage.

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners. Funds2Orgs works with micro-entrepreneurs in helping them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited. Proceeds from the sales of the shoes collected in shoe drive fundraisers are used to feed, clothe and house their families.
